New Meets Nostalgic

Sofia Brings Elevated Italian Cuisine To Design District

by

Sofia: Even the name sounds glamorous. This new dining spot sparkles in all the right ways.

Part of the Ink Entertainment group (Amal, Byblos and more), it features Italian cuisine done right.  “Sofia extends an unparalleled combination of first-class hospitality, a refined approach to modern Italian fare, high-end European glam, and captivating couture design that perfectly captures her vibrant, high-spirited ambiance,” notes a press release.

The Design District eatery’s seasonal offerings are taken to the next level by Executive Chef Daniel Roy, who created a fresh perspective to both new and nostalgic Italian fare.

The menu’s antipasti selections include Prosciutto, Carpaccio, Polpo (Grilled Octopus), Insalatas, Stracciatella, Fiori di Zucca (Ricotta Stuffed Zucchini) and Tonno (Raw Ahi Tuna).

Handmade pasta dishes include Cacio e Pepe al Tartufo, Rigatoni alla Vodka, and Ravioli di Ricotta e Noci. Fish entrees feature Branzino, Orata (Sea Bream Fish) and Gamberoni (Shrimp); there are also Cotoletta alla Milanese (Breaded Veal), Costata di Manzo (Ribeye), among others.

The dining experience is enhanced with a rotating art collection. Like what you see? It’s available to purchase. Even the lighting here has been thoughtfully chosen. “Nine custom hand-blown Barovier & Toso glass chandeliers, imported from Murano Island as souvenirs brought back from a Venice escapade, illuminate the room with continental sophistication,” explains the press release.
