Plant-Based Alternative Offers Five Flavors

Non-dairy beverages have finally come of age. 

Adding to the choices: Better Than Milk, an organic, plant-based milk alternative, which is making its national debut.

The beverage, made with spring water sourced 450 meters above sea level in the Lessini Mountains of Northern Italy, is also non-GMO verified, vegan, kosher pareve and free of gluten, dairy, lactose, soy, sulfites, carrageenan, and artificial flavors.

Even better – there are five flavors: unsweetened almond, almond, unsweetened oat, unsweetened rice plus calcium, and rice hazelnut.

“Better Than Milk is great for spontaneous bakers, committed hikers, early risers and late night ‘cookies and milk’ guzzlers,” notes a press release. 

The product is also good for the environment: Cartons are made from recycled materials with plastic bio-caps created from renewable sugar cane, not petroleum.   

“We care about our consumers and we care about the Earth,” Lonnie Williard, vice president of marketing at Panos Brands, parent company of Better Than Milk, says in a press release.  

The 1-liter, shelf-stable cartons are available at specialty/natural grocery retailers and on Amazon.
