Area Residents Band Together With POLOSTRONG

Because many of us have spent considerable time social distancing in recent months, it’s easy to feel isolated and alone.

So two Boca Raton women came up with an idea to band together and foster community in their neighborhood with a T-shirt campaign, POLOSTRONG.

“I had an idea to create a tank with a fun slogan in an effort to lift spirits and create a greater sense of community during this difficult time: WE ARE POLO STRONG,” says Lisa Trattner. “I asked a few friends if they would want to purchase one. A few quickly grew to 40, and, before I knew it, I was receiving texts and calls from women throughout the club.”

Trattner says that one of her neighborhood friends, Barbara Rechter, “loved the idea so much that she started reaching out to her friends as well, and, next thing we knew, we had ordered and distributed more than 150 tanks.”

The black tank tops say “WE ARE POLO STRONG” in large white letters, with # POLOSTRONG below.

“The Polo Club truly is one big family, and to see all the ladies wearing them around the club – running, walking and biking – puts such a smile on our face,” Trattner says. “Thanks to all our friends at Polo who helped make this campaign a great success!”
