Wear your support – in style – for those fighting on the frontlines of the pandemic with the Lavish Hero Fund by the Living Lavish clothing line.

Founded by 17-year-old Boca Raton resident Tyler Zankl, the Lavish Hero Fund benefits nurses, police officers, ambulance drivers, paramedics and firefighters working to protect the public amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Even though we are all equal, there is a group of people out there making a true difference in this world right now,” he writes on his website. “I am talking about those in the frontlines, risking their lives for us!”

Individuals can apply to receiving funding from the nonprofit; if approved, they will receive one month of their normal salary (per year). Applicants need to provide a W-2 form or a pay stub verifying that they earn less than $100,000 per year. Funds will be dispersed on a first-come-first-served basis and depending on how much money is available.

“Every day, thousands of heroes go out there to risk their lives for us without asking for anything in return,” Zankl explains on his website. “And we want to say thank you for all you do! Thank you for working hard without asking for anything in return while I stay at home.”

Members of the public can contribute to the fund by purchasing one of six T-shirt designs from the Lavish Hero collection – three of which pay tribute to nurses, police officers and paramedics – or by making monetary donations. Businesses can also contribute a percentage of their sales to the fund. One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to the Lavish Hero Fund.

“Our main goal is to be able to provide some extra money for our Heroes that can be used as they please,” Zankl says.

Living Lavish is an “urban clothing brand that embraces that it is not what you have in life that’s important, but it is how you live your life that really matters,” according to its website.
