Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival Releases Event Schedule

Festival Takes Place March 15-21

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival (which announced its 2021 return last month), recently released its schedule of events.

Taking place from Monday, March 15 – Sunday, March 21, the festival strives to continue its mission to highlight Broward County as an eclectic dining destination that delights and captivates foodies from all over the country. The 2021 GFLFW will include four private, socially distant dining experiences along with its signature Cocktail Confidential event. All festival events will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and the week-long affair will culminate with a drive-up-only “Catch the Love” toy drive.

“The warm reception the festival has received from the South Florida community is an encouraging sign that people are ready and feel comfortable venturing out to attend events in a safe, socially distant and limited capacity,” said GFLFW Co-Founder Kate Reed in a press release. “Within the first week of announcing the festival’s return, two of the four dining experiences have sold out, and we expect the two remaining dinners to sell out, also,” she added.

This year, GFLFW will include dining experiences at Heritage, Sardelli Italian Steakhouse, Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery and the Atlantic Hotel & Spa’s 5th-floor pool deck. It will also feature its signature event, Cocktail Confidential, which will take place at Fort Lauderdale’s hottest new venue: Sistrunk Marketplace. The festival closes with a “Catch the Love” toy drive on Sunday, March 21, at Broward County’s most inspiring coffee house, Cali Coffee, located in the heart of Hollywood.

For safety precautions related to the pandemic, this year’s festival line-up, unfortunately, will not include its three largest events: The Grand Tasting, GFL on the Rise and Family Day. Festival organizers have postponed those events until 2022 for the safety of its participants and guests. Individuals who purchased tickets to one of those three events in 2020 can roll-over their tickets until 2022 or apply their ticket values to one of the dinners or events taking place during the 2021 festival.

A celebration of the food, wine, craft beer and spirits scene at unique venues in Broward County, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival is sure to be six days spent in foodie heaven.
