So Much More Than Taco Tuesday

Rocco’s Tacos Serves Up Unbeatable Happy Hour

by

Few things serve as a better mid-week pick-me-up than happy hour after a long day at work – and few places serve up as great of a menu to mark the occasion as Rocco’s Tacos and Tequila Bar. With eight locations spanning from Boca Raton to Tampa, you won’t be hard-pressed when searching for the one closest to you this week.

Known for their made-to-order guacamole which is prepared table-side, this fun, fresh, Mexican restaurant is the perfect place to unwind with a drink in hand. From the massive, industrial light fixtures to the Talavera-inspired plates, at this restaurant and bar, no detail is left ungarnished. Enjoy the carefree vibe as you sit at the reclaimed wood bar in front of an impressive selection of beer, liquor and, of course, tequila.

While many restaurants skimp on their happy hour menus, this is definitely not the case here. From 4-7 p.m. every day, customers at the bar get to enjoy freshly made margaritas, tacos and appetizers for just a fraction of the regular price.

You can’t go wrong by starting out with one of five legendary margaritas, just $5 during happy hour. Sample the beloved House and Watermelon Margaritas – more unique however is the Volcanic Margarita, made with a blend of Traditional Silver Tequila, black cherry, simple syrup and fresh lime juice. Perhaps the highlight of the experience is the front row seat you’ll get to the bartender preparing your zesty concoction. If you’re coming with friends, for just $25 you can have a Traditional, Strawberry or Mango Margaliter – the perfect drink to accompany the $3 happy hour appetizers and tacos.

Whether you’re looking to keep things simple with their Austin Queso, a delicious tex-mex cheese dip, or to fill up on $3 single-serve tacos, Rocco’s Tacos has all the Mexican dishes you’re craving topped with fresh cilantro and chihuahua cheese. Perhaps most delectable are the Flautas – flour tortillas that are stuffed with chicken and salsa chile de árbol then rolled, fried and served hot. If you’re more in the mood for tacos but can’t make up your mind on what type, rejoice knowing there’s no need to decide! Mix-and-match between the slow-roasted chicken or pork, spicy ground beef and mushroom tacos as you see fit.

New to the menu, however not part of the happy hour deals, are the Skinny Señorita and Frida Rita Margaritas. These elevated offerings are adding a twist to the traditional idea of a margarita in celebration of the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration.

The Skinny Señorita is drawing a lot of attention. Made with Partida Blanco Tequila, agave nectar, fresh lime juice and Aquafaba and then garnished with edible flowers and dehydrated lime, this drink is vegan friendly and incredibly refreshing.

If you’re more interested in a new take on an old classic, the Frida Rita may be more your speed. Taking inspiration from the classic margarita, the Frida Rita is shaken with Mi Campo Blanco Tequila, Chinola Passion Fruit Liqueur and Rocco’s unique Lime Mix.

Whatever you choose, just know it’s going to be incredibly authentic and intensely flavorful. With two locations within Palm Beach County, Rocco’s Tacos has a happy hour you’re not going to want to miss.
