Locally Owned Boutique Offers Surf-Inspired Fashion

In Palm Beach County retail news, locally owned boutique Vagabond Apparel is moving somewhere a little more accessible this fall – which is good news for fashionistas with a penchant for a beachy aesthetic.

Owner Elizabeth LeGore will relocate the shop from North Palm Beach to Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens. Slated to open in November, Vagabond Apparel will span nearly 1,800 square feet and offer a mix of women’s, men’s and kids’ clothing and accessories.

“Downtown at the Gardens will be a perfect fit for Vagabond Apparel because the center is a local hub for our community,” says LeGore, 35, according to a press release. “I love that there are so many like-minded, locally owned businesses here and I am excited for the partnerships we will create.”

Founded in 2013, the brand specializes in simple, surf-inspired apparel, and the new space will have a warm, neighborly vibe.

“We can’t wait for Vagabond Apparel to open at Downtown,” says Nina Rogers, vice president of specialty leasing for ShopCore Properties, the owner/managing entity for Downtown at the Gardens, according to a press release. “Elizabeth’s store is a perfect example of the new mix of tenants we are introducing at the center. Her locally owned and operated store is a destination for her clients – and Elizabeth herself epitomizes the type of visitors we are attracting to Downtown, day-to-night, with something for everyone.”

The Palm Beach Gardens resident graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2006 with a degree in entrepreneurship. She’s currently involved in the school’s mentoring program, where she advises a business student with entrepreneurial ambitions each year.

“I love being a support and encouragement to young women with goals in entrepreneurship,” she says, according to a press release. “The ability to use the store as a platform to connect with our local community and charities is a priority for me and I look forward to working with even more organizations in our new and bigger space in Downtown.”
