Having expanded its successful financial firm to Boca Raton, the philosophy of 1847 Private Client Group and founding partner Adam Sherman is to exceed expectations from a client-experience standpoint. 

Sherman has built his career on expertise in all aspects of wealth management, with a focus on high-net-worth insurance and estate-planning strategies as well as asset management.

“We are looking forward to building our Boca Raton presence the same way we did it in the Philadelphia region: through great service and satisfied clients,” he says.

Many clients have relocated to South Florida.

“Our business has grown exponentially by working closely within the professional advisor community as a trusted resource,” says Sherman, who has built three different organizations over his 35-year career.

He is a highly sought-after speaker and commentator in the financial services industry and has had regular stints on CNBC, on Fox Business and in The Wall Street Journal.

“People spend their lifetime building their estate, and they spend very little time figuring out how to perpetuate it to the next generation,” Sherman says. “Our job is to understand that perpetuating it might be just as important as building it, and we use the right strategies and techniques to make that happen.” 

Services include gifting and wealth transfer analysis, reviewing an existing life insurance portfolio and carrier due diligence, and corporate compensation programs.

“As the labor pool gets tighter and tighter, good people tend to leave an organization or transfer to other places,” Sherman says. “Executive benefits are crucial in keeping your key executives motivated and compensated so they stay with the organization for a long period of time.”

He’s been a Boca Raton resident for nearly a decade and is excited to expand from the firm’s headquarters in Philadelphia to reach more clients in South Florida.
