Melissa Perlman, owner of BlueIvy Communications, has secured thousands of news articles and TV segments featuring her clients in media outlets like The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Associated Press, NBC’s “Today” show, HuffPost, The Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinel as well as local NBC, CBS and ABC affiliates. 

Perlman started her boutique communications firm nearly a decade ago after working in the Office Depot corporate communications office for seven years. Before that, she honed her writing skills by reporting for local TV, radio and newspapers. Perlman graduated from Brown University with a degree in expository writing.

“I started BlueIvy Communications because I wanted to support small- and medium-sized businesses by building their brand image and securing positive media exposure,” she says. “There is a great deal of pride when seeing yourself or your company in a magazine, newspaper, online or on TV, and I love providing this to my clients. It never gets old for me.”
