Kerry Pouliot’s Days Are Designed To Inspire
You could say Kerry Pouliot came to interior design by golf cart. The sales and design manager at Clive Daniel Home moved to Florida from Michigan to study interior design. Along the way, she landed a job in the golf industry, where she stayed for 10 years.
When she got the opportunity to work for Clive Lubnerand his son Daniel at Clive Daniel Home, she felt like she was finally home.
“Our team is like a big family,” says Pouliot, whose job is to manage staff, greet clients, make sure all sales goals are met and oversee all designs before they are presented to clients. “The most rewarding part of my job is seeing what our design team comes up with.”
With Clive Daniel Home’s flagship store in Naples and a 70,000-square-foot showroom in Boca Raton, her days are full.
“I interview clients, set up interviews with different designers and brainstorm,” she says. “We collaborate a lot – that’s what I love.”
Pouliot says there are no silos, and egos are checked at the door. That kind of collaboration provides clients with the best design possible.
Clive Daniel Home’s original 87,000-square-foot location, which also serves as its corporate headquarters, opened in Naples in 2011. Its Boca Raton location opened in 2016. Together, the stores offer clients a one-stop shopping experience.
“As Clive always says, ‘We do everything – from the mailbox to the pool,’” says Pouliot.
Showrooms are filled with furniture, bedding, linens, rugs, window treatments, flooring, lighting and artwork, and there are designers on hand to create your dream space. Some clients come in with their own ideas, while others leave it all up to the designers.
“Our showroom is like ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – there is something exciting around every corner,” she says. “We reimagine things. We look for pieces around the world that you will not find anywhere else.”
And when she’s not working?
“My hobby is still golf,” Pouliot chuckles.
