As the spring and summer home selling and buying season approaches, prepare your home for sale with three easy improvement projects.

First impressions are everything. Curb appeal counts. Tidy up lawn and landscaping, add colorful flowers, bushes, or potted plants to make your home more inviting. Paint the front door or shutters to add pizazz.

Keep the good vibe going once prospective buyers are inside. Remove excess furniture, personal items and clutter. Too much stuff can make your home look and feel smaller.

If your home is full of family photos and mementos it may feel so uniquely yours that buyers can’t envision themselves there. Clean out closets and storage spaces, they’ll appear bigger. Neutralize the décor to suit an array of buyers.

Revamp and renew. Fix leaky faucets, broken light fixtures and update appliances and cabinets. You don’t have to be extravagant, but a refresh will send a signal that your home is in good condition.
