Fox Rothschild LLP

Meet Southeast Florida’s Multifaceted Tax & Wealth Planning Group

In 2020, Fox Rothschild LLP continued to grow its Taxation & Wealth Planning group in Florida to meet the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals.

Fox’s strategies have helped clients pass millions of dollars to future generations through tax minimization and wealth transference.

With offices in Miami and West Palm Beach, the team is backed by a national, full-service firm comprised of 950 attorneys working in 70 diverse practice areas.

John Dadakis has carved out a niche practice that serves principals of private equity, hedge fund and venture capital firms. For this elite client base, John serves as “personal general counsel,” working with them over their lifetimes to deliver wealth preservation strategies that serve their nuanced financial and social goals.

Corporate partner Eric Michaels has a transactional focus. He advises on the tax consequences of major deals, and has extended his practice to the cannabis industry, vetting investments in cannabis-related businesses and acting as outside counsel to a vertically integrated CBD business.

Michael Hyett is board certified in taxation by the Florida Bar Board of Certification. He centers his practice on creating and managing family charitable foundations. Joseph Kulunas, a board-certified estate planning and probate lawyer, advises high-net-worth clients on business succession and family wealth.

Sarah Wentz has developed a fluency in addressing the unique estate planning needs that musicians, actors and other creative artists face in protecting the value of their intellectual property and creative legacies. Sarah also advises on probate, guardianships and conservatorships, special needs trusts and elder law.

Florida is a gateway to Latin America, and Christopher Callahan, the Co-Chair of Fox’s International Taxation & Wealth Planning Practice, focuses on guiding international corporations and their globetrotting employees to address U.S. taxation of foreign pensions and foreign taxation of U.S. pensions, to lessen tax exposure.
