Began in 2014, the Ginger Brands Hospitality Group quickly established itself as a key player in the “eatertainment” space, focusing on food and drink coupled with live entertainment. Ginger Flesher Sonnier, founder and CEO of the Ginger Brands Hospitality Group in South Florida, started with escape rooms and axe throwing venues in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., before moving onto THRōW Social®.

With locations in Washington D.C. and Delray Beach, THRōW Social^® brings together a Palm Beach chic vibe with game play and live music.

“People love the relaxed tropical vibe, delicious food, fun cocktails, and live bands. We even have beautiful cabanas to lounge in for that VIP feel,” Flesher Sonnier says. “But folks really like that they can play games, such as corn hole and light-up ping pong. It’s an experience and I love providing experiences. That’s kind of my secret sauce, that I take normal activities and just make them over the top with staging, design and service.”

Looking ahead, THRōW Social® is on tap to open a third, larger location in Wynwood, Miami in late Spring 2024. Flesher Sonnier also is poised to expand the brand in Orlando and Las Vegas in 2025 and 2026. In development is another concept, Yacht Club Social, that Flesher Sonnier says is more focused on the dining element while still providing the playful, elevated vibe she is known for. Memberships may be available soon.

“We’re looking to grow and, I love being creative and thinking of immersive experiences to present to people,” Flesher Sonnier says. Expect those experiences to include a fun, energetic vibe merged with great food and cocktails and rounded out with live music.

“That’s kind of what we’re all about and that’s what people are loving so much. So we want to continue with that model,” Flesher Sonnier says.

Unofficially dubbed the “Entrepreneur of Fun,” Flesher Sonnier received international recognition for her work, earning the 2022 “Best Female Entrepreneur” award in the consumer services category from The Stevie Awards for Women in Business. She said she’s excited about what the future holds going forward. “I love creating new concepts,” Flesher Sonnier says. “We’re really developing a great corporate team to enable that.”
