A Mexican immigrant who came to the United States at age 6, Maria De La Luz Hernandez has been able to achieve incredible success in the U.S.
Now running her own thriving law firm, Hernandez is a global immigration attorney helping other immigrants gain opportunities. She is bilingual and uses her personal experience to help immigrants navigate complicated immigration laws.

Her passion to help others goes beyond immigration work: Having been a domestic violence survivor, Hernandez also represents victims of domestic violence and victims of other crimes on a pro bono basis through her law firm and provides free services to many individuals in deportation proceedings.
She has always been passionate about using her time and energy for the less fortunate.
“I always saw the opportunity to help – even when I was little. I helped translate conversations and important documents for my parents,” she says.
