Sima Khondekar does wonders for hair. As a licensed natural hair stylist and organic colorist, her mission is to highlight a woman’s beauty with elements from the Earth.

“I want each person I encounter not only to look beautiful on the outside but feel healthy on the inside as well, and that starts with going back to the source — natural elements,” Khondekar says. 

In 2014, Khondekar began Naturally Sima Salon in Boca Raton with a single client. Now, almost eight years later in her business and more than a decade in the industry, she has clients from across the globe visit her salon for a natural look. 

The hair color products Khondekar uses are free from gluten, sulfate, formaldehyde, pesticides, carcinogens and more. The inside of her salon also includes a peaceful and mediative environment for her clients to enjoy, she says. 

Her newest product, the Goddess Hair Treatment, is made with aloe, gooseberries, flowers, minerals and hibiscus. It’s designed to rejuvenate and rebuild hair fibers, produce a natural shine and restore growth. Khondekar says she plans to market this product to the public later this year. 

“When I use natural and organic products like Stem Cell hair repair and HairBotox treatment, I’ve seen it reduce the signs of aging, eliminate frizz and turn dry and damaged hair into strong and healthy beautiful hair,” she says.  

Originally from India, Khondekar grew up around natural products. The lessons she learned in her youth are instilled into how she creates color and treats the hair. To expand her knowledge, Khondekar travels the globe looking for alternatives to the harsh chemicals she says are found in man-made hair products. 

From her time in India, she learned how to create essential oils and detox treatments using India’s ayurvedic or natural methods. Detoxing the hair is a healthy tip that Khondekar recommends to neutralize the scalp and return it to a clean state. 

“I enjoy investing my time and energy into learning better things to serve my clients in a more authentic way,” Khondekar says.
