NYY Steak

Chef Paul Youngstrand

Not Just A Meal, But A Legendary Experience

When Chef Paul Youngstrand initially walk-ed through the doors of NYY Steak at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, the first thing that struck him was the butcher shop at the front of the restaurant.

“It’s not something you normally see at other restaurants,” he says. “Here, the steaks are beautifully displayed, and the butchers are available to answer any questions.”

From the bone-in New York Strip (a guest favorite) to the 30-ounce Long Bone Ribeye, every piece of meat is cooked to perfection – the juices seared inside to guarantee every bite is as good as the first.

Chef Youngstrand, who’s been a chef for nearly 30 years, recently joined NYY Steak from the property’s Fresh Harvest restaurant. Prior to that, he worked in Las Vegas. As a result, he understands the importance of creating not just a great meal but also an overall great experience for guests.

“We understand that our guests are here to do more than just eat. They may be coming for a show or to go to the casino,” says Chef Youngstrand. “We want to make sure that we provide them with the best restaurant experience so they have no reason to go anywhere else.”

While steak is the star of the show, the restaurant is also serious about seafood. Choose from a selection of mouthwatering Chilean Sea Bass or perhaps the Twin Tails of South African lobster. Shrimp Crusted Florida Grouper, Local Florida Snapper and Scallops are also on the menu. Pair any of the entrées with a glass of vino from the award-winning wine list.

Come for the dinner – but don’t leave before the dessert. The six-layer Colossal Chocolate Cake is a real eye-popper, while the Cookies & Cream – a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with a mini Yoo-Hoo float on the side – will take you back to your childhood.

If you plan to stop by for the Sunday brunch, make sure you come hungry. The spread gives new meaning to the word “lavish.” You simply have to see it to believe it.
