Professional Preparedness Alliance

John J. Raymond, Marshall Jacobs, Garrett Jacobs and Howard Kaye

Providing Solutions For Estate Planning, Life Insurance And Funeral Services

No one wants to think about death, especially their own. But, like taxes, it’s inevitable. Making those end-of-life decisions early may be difficult today, but think of how much easier it will be for loved ones who are left behind.

That’s where the Professional Preparedness Alliance can assist. Formed by The Gardens of Boca Raton Cemetery and Funeral Home; Howard Kaye Insurance Agency, LLC; and attorney John J. Raymond of Nelson Mullins, the alliance’s mission is to create a network of advisors who can serve as a resource to guide people through the entire pre-planning process.

“There are three prongs to pre-planning,” says Howard Kaye, president and founding life insurance advisor at Howard Kaye Insurance Agency. “There is life insurance, estate planning and funeral planning. That’s why we thought there would be good synergy to bring all three professions together.”

Garrett Jacobs, CEO of The Gardens of Boca Raton, an all-faiths cemetery and funeral home, and his brother Marshall Jacobs, the COO, approached Kaye and Raymond with the idea.

“After we met and talked, we found that we have a number of commonalities in business and financial preparedness experience,” says Marshall. “My brother Garrett and I have been building a professional relationship with Howard and John over this past year, resulting in the launch of the Professional Preparedness Alliance.”

Their vision was to create a network of collaborative, independent advisors with shared values and ideals to help the community identify unique estate and legacy planning goals and end-of-life wishes.

“We want to serve as a source of guidance and support to our community through each step of the pre-planning process,” says Kaye.

Raymond lost his own wife at a young age, leading him to focus his practice on helping others. He concentrates on income tax, estate and gift tax, and related tax and financial matters.

“He has helped countless families prepare for the loss of a loved one and will be an invaluable member of the alliance,” says Kaye.
