Stacy Levine Brings Style And Function To Her Clients’ Spaces

When Stacy Levine enters a potential client’s home, she doesn’t let its footprint, nor others’ preconceptions of what design should be, limit her. She can see beyond the four walls and visualize the potential of a room.

“Most people make mistakes in space planning and don’t use their space correctly,” says Levine, who has helped clients realize their design dreams, not by simply re-arranging furniture, but by reconfiguring entire rooms. Bedrooms become closets, dining rooms become wine-tasting rooms and home offices are transformed into gyms.

“When I go into people’s homes the first thing I say is ‘let’s forget the footprint.’ I am passionate about being able to change a space and make it more functional,” says Levine, who recently was asked to turn a room into one dedicated solely to doing puzzles.

Levine helps clients re-think what design should be by challenging assumptions.

“I want to squash those old thoughts about painting the walls a dark color making it look smaller or mirrors making a space look bigger,” she says.

With more people staying home, demand for kitchen redesign has skyrocketed. Clients want them bigger with islands and chef-grade appliances. Her passion for finding new and exciting products is evident when she speaks of things like quartzite, a durable and natural stone. “Each one is like a piece of art,” she says enthusiastically.

Levine understands that design is personal and prides herself on her ability to listen to her clients’ wants and needs and incorporate them into her designs, giving meticulous attention to details. She works tirelessly to create spaces that provide the perfect balance of form, function and aesthetics.

“I try hard to make sure that whatever is important to my clients I can make work,” she says. “I once designed an entire bedroom around a sconce.”

In addition to working with residential customers, she also works on commercial spaces, helping to bring identity to a company’s brand.
