You only live once. That mantra rings true for many thanks to the pandemic. People want to take more vacations, buy a new car or splurge on their grandkids.

It’s important to know who to turn to when making these financial decisions. That’s where Scott Teich, Senior Vice President of Investments of Teich Wealth Management of Raymond James in Boca Raton, comes in.

“With COVID, people have changed their perspective on life,” he says. “They’re prioritizing things differently. They’re reaching out to talk to me about more than just investing. I’m assisting them with their health insurance, long-term care and plans for their children and grandchildren. I’m providing full comprehensive wealth management solutions for their life.”

With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services arena, Teich oversees and coordinates all facets of wealth management, including retirement and financial planning, estate planning, insurance analysis, risk management and investment allocation. Teich likens himself to a concierge doctor. These physicians take on a select number of clients and provide personalized service. “I look at myself as a concierge advisor — providing customized advice, intellectual capital access and professional expertise, all at a reasonable cost without additional fees,” says Teich.

Clients are calling Teich monthly for advice as opposed to the annual call they previously had. “They value my hands-on professional advice and accessibility,” he says. “They want to know how COVID is affecting their portfolio. They want to be prepared for other facets of their life.”

He adds that clients’ game plans and strategies have changed. “This was a life-altering occurrence that had most people adjust their values, priorities and perspectives,” he says. “Clients know that they have someone they can work with who can change or adjust their plan. It gives them confidence knowing that their financial plan is in good shape.”

Teich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of South Florida. He entered the industry in 1995 with Gruntal & Co. where he was a Vice President of Investments for six years before joining Raymond James in 2001.
