Matthew Moore, Esq., Brings Life Perspective To His Legal Career

Growing up in a family of lawyers, Matthew Moore, Esq., an attorney with Berman Law Group in Boca Raton, swore he’d never become an attorney.

After graduating from Trinity College, he was an entrepreneur in his native Boston. He moved to Los Angeles, where he was a management and marketing executive. He changed his career direction to the legal field mid-life. He wanted to help a friend get justice after being attacked by a mob in an LGBT-focused hate crime. “I didn’t fall into the law fresh out of college,” he says. “I became a lawyer to help people after years of life experience.”

Moore graduated number one in his class from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. Licensed in California and Florida, he splits his time between Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale. 

Since his father was a plantiff’s lawyer, it’s only fitting that Moore is in plantiff’s law. He handles catastrophic injuries, product liability, medical malpractice, class actions and mass torts.

“It’s my goal to help people and businesses that have been harmed by the negligence and intentional conduct of others. I stand up for the little guy against the big corporations. It’s what I love to do,” he says.

Also armed with a business and entrepreneurial background, he handles issues facing established and growth-oriented businesses.

Moore feels that starting his career later in life puts his clients at an advantage since he has more than a lawyer’s perspective. “Some lawyers only can think like a lawyer because it’s all they’ve ever done,” he says. “I think like a lawyer. But I can also switch gears to understand the client’s perspective, a jury’s view and a defendant’s position.”
