Since 2009, Julie Mullen and Elizabeth Kelley Grace have spearheaded The Buzz Agency, a company they founded and have grown into the successful business it is today.

They head up an all-women team of experienced and dynamic public relations professionals, affectionately called ‘#BuzzBellas,’ in downtown Delray Beach and are proud to be ranked the largest PR firm in Palm Beach County, based on the South Florida Business Journal’s 2023 ‘Book of Lists.’

“We launched our firm 14 years ago with a handful of high-profile clients that took a chance on us,” explains Mullen, who has lived in 11 states and one foreign country as an “Air Force brat” and has called Florida home for the past 20-plus years. “The challenge was to continue at that level and then expand upon it.”

So, rather than spend any more sleepless, work-filled nights like they did in the first few years, she and Kelley Grace decided to invest in a full-time public relations staff.

“It was the best decision we ever made and we wouldn’t have enjoyed the success we’ve had without each one of their contributions,” expresses Kelley Grace, who serves on the Board of Directors for the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce and has chaired/co-chaired signature fundraising events for local nonprofits like the Junior League of Boca Raton and the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

Among the agency’s list of longtime clients are accomplished businesses like Big Time Restaurant Group, the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens, Boca West Country Club and Boca Helping Hands. More recently, the staff began serving as PR partner to Marriott International, the Seagate Hotel & Spa, The Mall at Wellington Green, Le Colonial and American Humane, among others.

What makes The Buzz Agency different from others like it is the principals’ involvement in the day-to-day implementation of their communications initiatives right alongside their staff.

“We ensure that our clients know that ownership is always in their corner,” Mullen points out. “Also, we are fiercely loyal partners to our clients and enthusiastically support them personally, as well as professionally.”
