Lotus-Lorien DeSilva Fights For Your Rights

If there’s one thing Lotus-Lorien DeSilva is passionate about, it’s helping people.

“I have always been a protector; it’s in my nature,” says DeSilva, who four years ago, launched her own law firm straight out of law school.

A graduate of the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, DeSilva’s journey wasn’t always easy.

She was raised by a single mother in Boca Raton, worked from the age of 14 and put herself through college and law school. At the age of 22, she purchased her own home.

During law school, she served as an intern with the Public Defender’s Office where her passion for helping others was nurtured.

“I truly believe in liberty and justice for all,” she says.

She is a fourth-generation resident of Boca Raton. Her great grandfather first came here in the 1960s, and she is a product of the city’s public school system. Grit and determination led her to launch The Lotus Law Firm PLLC. 

She handles everything from restoration of driver’s licenses, traffic ticket defense and criminal law to real estate and family law. She often fights for the underdog, including those who struggle to get their driver’s license reinstated or fathers fighting for their parental rights. 

Since the pandemic began, DeSilva has transitioned to virtual consultations and offers final will and testament and revocable trust packages for a flat fee. 

“It’s important to be proactive during these times,” says DeSilva. “People deserve peace of mind.” 

As a solo practitioner, DeSilva works directly with each and every client. 

Over the years, she has been involved with a number of nonprofits and provides pro bono legal services to those who can’t afford it. Her goal is to one day bring in other young attorneys, mentor them and help them realize their dreams.
