August Gordon Is Passionate About Real Estate
This is a remarkable time to be in real estate, says August Gordon. Interest rates are low, demand is high and the South Florida market is very hot!
Gordon, who grew up in Boca Raton, knows the area like the back of her hand. “I have been to almost every neighborhood in Boca Raton,” she says. And, as the mother of two young children, she knows about schools, parks and other venues important to her clients.
In recent months there has been a huge influx of people into South Florida.
“A lot of people want to raise their family here, you can’t beat the climate, no state income tax and a lot of people are moving on to the next chapter of their life. People are also upsizing; they want a pool and a home office. A lot of first-time homebuyers too,” she says.
Gordon, who works with buyers, sellers and investors, got the real estate bug after selling her own home. “I enjoyed the process of getting it ready for an open house and then it sold even before I put it on the market,” she says.
She has sold homes from under $100,000 to more than $1 million and has been involved in transactions from Miami to Vero Beach. “I cast the net wide for my clients,” she says.
She works under United Realty Group, which has 19 Florida locations.
From the time she gets up in the morning, Gordon is checking listings to make sure she doesn’t miss that perfect home. If a client can’t get to see a house in person, she will go to check it out. She also offers video tours, an important option these days.
As a real estate investor herself, Gordon has a keen eye. She spends a lot of time learning what her clients want and what they don’t want and strives to make the whole buying and selling process as seamless as possible.
When she’s not selling homes, Gordon is an avid runner who loves to compete in races.
