On Dec. 8, JAFCO will host the 2018 Jacob's Ladder Award Gala at The Polo Club of Boca Raton.
The event is dedicated to raising funds for abused and neglected children and those with developmental disabilities in South Florida.
This year's gala is chaired by Lois and Stephen Kaufman and Ursula and Lenny Hess. The black-tie event will feature a cocktail reception, fine dining, silent and live auctions, dancing to a nine-piece band and a heartwarming presentation about JAFCO's lifesaving work.
The evening will be highlighted by JAFCO's presentation of the prestigious Jacob's Ladder Award for Child Advocacy to three outstanding couples who have been dedicated to protecting abused and neglected children in our community. The recipients are Tamara and Richard Morgenstern, Marlene and Marty Silver, and Elise and Ronny Udelson. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Robert Kasky.
"This extraordinary event is an ideal way to help the community and be a part of an organization that does so much for children," says Lois.
Adds Ursula: "This beautiful affair is a way of saying thank you, while raising much-needed funds for the children."
All of the evening's proceeds will directly touch the lives of the children JAFCO serves. The Boca Raton Observer is the event's exclusive media sponsor. O
