The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center’s Jeans, Jewels, Journey & The J, the Levis JCC’s signature event celebrating the organization, its committed supporters and outstanding honorees will be Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. at Boca West Country Club.
The event includes a cocktail reception, silent auction, program, dinner and dancing all in a deluxe tented outdoor space.
Chaired by Dana Egert, Sandy and Rob Gerstein, Lori and Steve Lesser and Amanda and Kiel Rodriguez, the event brings our community together for a safe, fun-filled evening to celebrate and benefit the center’s programs and services.
During the evening, Lori and Tony Fineman will be given the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler Crystal Award and Richard Koblick and Stephanie Midler will receive the Shirley and Allan B. Solomon Leadership Award.
The Judy Levis Krug Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival will also be recognized. The festival, in its sixth year, connects our community through arts and culture by presenting the very best in Jewish-themed films from around the world.
Jeans, Jewels, Journey & The J is sponsored by The Boca Raton Observer, Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group, Zo Diamonds, the Sandelman Foundation and WLRN public radio.
The event directly supports programs presented to our community through Levis JCC’s departments: Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center, Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department, Sports & Wellness, Arts, Culture & Learning at the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Center, Marleen Forkas Camps, the Judy Levis Krug Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival, and the Levis JCC Resale Boutique.
Proceeds specifically support a scholarship and financial aid program which enables hundreds of children to participate in preschool, special needs and summer camp programs they would otherwise not be able to attend.
