On Jan. 14, at 6:30 p.m. the Rotary Club of Boca Raton will honor Outstanding People And Leaders who have made our community a better place to live, work and learn through philanthropy and volunteerism at the 25th Annual OPAL Awards Gala at Boca West Country Club.
Together with Honorary Chair, Christine E. Lynn, Co-Chairs, Jan Savarick, Neil Saffer and Spencer Siegel will celebrate Community Leader Terry Fedele, Rotary Scholarship Chair Pia Giannone, Boca Helping Hands Executive Director Greg Hazle, philanthropists Amy & Mike Kazma and theater Impresario Marilynn Wick.
The annual Gala provides scholarships that create a transformational change in the lives of students who would not have the opportunity to attend college, as well as providing funding for certificate and trade programs such as firefighters and paramedics. Support of the Gala creates a brighter future for these students and their families for generations to come.
In order to ensure our scholarship students succeed, The Rotary Club of Boca Raton assigns a mentor to each recipient. We also help procure internship opportunities and assist them in finding jobs when they graduate. Every dollar raised is judiciously used towards our mission of helping others – Service Above Self!
The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
