Dan & Misty Persico
On Jan. 19, 500 attendees are expected to gather at Boca West Country Club for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s 40th Annual MS Gala, presented by UKG and Rockefeller.
The MS Gala brings philanthropists together for the presentation of the Hope Award, exclusive entertainment and a silent auction. This event raises awareness and more than $500,000 each year for the Society’s funding of critical research to find a cure for multiple sclerosis.
This year’s gathering will honor Misty & Dan Persico. Misty has been battling relapsing-remitting MS since her diagnosis in 2000. Dan admits that living with a spouse having MS has been an ongoing education as the disease has progressed. To know Misty is to understand her insatiable uplifting attitude and indomitable spirit in not allowing MS to rule her life. Attendees will also enjoy a robust live and silent auction and exclusive entertainment.
“We are grateful to those who attend this luncheon,” says Robin Nunley, National MS Society, Mid- South Florida Chapter president. “Over the years, this gala has raised $9 million which has enabled the Society to fund critical research initiatives and provide comprehensive support services and programs so that people affected by MS can live their best lives.”
The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
