The Unicorn Children’s Foundation held a Saturday Brunch and Couture Fashion Show at the Vanderbilt Mansion on Fisher Island, which was the official kick-off party of the 25th Anniversary Royal Ball.
The event was hosted by Mistress of Ceremonies Shireen Sandoval of “Deco Drive.”
Guests were inspired by keynote speaker Haley Moss, who is the first openly autistic lawyer in Florida. As lunch was served, a fashion show by TA Couture started to the beats of DJ Eric. The afternoon culminated with a designer handbag raffle donated by The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills.
Proceeds from the event will go toward funding the nonprofit’s Unicorn Connection Center, which will house offices, culinary and vocational training facilities, and the Special Percs Café.
The Unicorn Children’s Foundation is a 25-year-old nonprofit dedicated to building communities of acceptance, support and opportunity for kids and young adults who are challenged by special needs and neurodiversity. Its initiatives connect families to community resources, advocate for inclusive opportunities, respect differences, empower individuals and support success. With 1 in 6 children being diagnosed with a developmental or learning disorder, the foundation believes it has a responsibility to create a world where all children’s potential can flourish.
Save the date for the 25th Anniversary Royal Ball on March 7 at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan with special guest Kodi Lee to help raise funds for kids and young adults with special needs. O
