Does your kid's homework have you scratching your head? Then you'll be relieved to hear the latest news from the Boca Raton Public Library: Area K-12 students now have free access to professional tutors from the Tutor.com Learning Suite, an online service from The Princeton Review, thanks to a recent donation from the Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library.
"Through the Friends' gift, the BRPL will be able to respond to the community's need for homework help on a large number of topics for students with different needs," says Ann Nappa, library manager, according to a press release. "This enables all Boca Raton student library users to work with a personal tutor at no cost to them and at their convenience online."
Through Tutor.com, students can get help with math, science, English, Spanish, social studies, writing, and ACT and SAT prep.
"Through Princeton Review's SAT/ACT Essentials self-study modules, they can access full-length practice tests, a diagnostic score report, supporting video lessons and practice drills, and college application advice," says Vicky Fitzsimmons, digital librarian. "Live tutoring and drop-off services are available in English or Spanish."
Boca Raton Public Library cardholders can access Tutor.com's Learning Suite by visiting the Research tab on the library's website. Tutoring is available daily, except major holidays.
