Area residents can rest assured that their health is in good hands when getting care at Boca Raton Regional Hospital - because the facility has again been recognized as a top-ranked regional hospital in U.S. News & World Report's 2018-2019 annual review of Best Hospitals.
Out of about 300 hospitals statewide, Boca Regional is ranked No. 13. Plus, it's ranked No. 3 in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area - making it the highest-ranked hospital in Palm Beach County. The facility moved up three spots in both the state and local rankings since last year.
"We are honored to have this recognition by U.S. News & World Report for the fourth consecutive year," says Jerry Fedele, president and CEO of Boca Raton Regional Hospital, according to a press release. "It is strong testimony to our commitment to provide high quality healthcare that includes a spectrum of advanced clinical programs, the latest in medical technology, outstanding nursing and leading specialists in their respective fields."
The publication, which evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers across the country, also ranked Boca Regional as a high-performing hospital in abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, colon cancer surgery, treatment of heart failure and lung cancer surgery.
