Finally - a fitness routine for those of us who have trouble getting out of bed.
You don't have to leave the comfort of your cradle to achieve good health, according to wellness leader Pilin Anice, who paired up with the DreamCloud mattress company to spread the word about "beditation," designed to balance and restore your body through breath work and various poses.
"Beditation is a way to be good to yourself, to take time to pause in our busy life by appreciating and acknowledging the power of aligning mind and body," notes a press release.
The 12-step method (see below) promises to "quiet the mind, soothe the nervous system, release tension to enhance the ability to get a good night's sleep, and teaches poses and stretches you can easily practice from the comfort of your own bed."
1: Sit in a comfortable position.
2: Take a deep belly breath using alternate nostrils.
3: Sit cross-legged.
4: Do gentle head and neck circles and shoulder rolls.
5: Put your hand behind your head, and do gentle side stretches.
6: Fold forward.
7: Stretch your shoulders.
8: Put the soles of your feet together, and massage.
9: Stretch legs one at a time.
10: Twist, supporting yourself with a pillow.
11: Place legs up on the headboard.
12: Use guided meditation.
