Where can you eat a croissant for breakfast, followed by cider-glazed spiced pork belly for lunch and kalua pork tacos with Polynesian punch for dinner? Epcot of course. This year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival began July 27 and runs through Nov. 18.
Get ready to eat and drink your way around the world at the more than 25 global marketplaces throughout the park taking part in the annual event, including returning favorites such as The Fry Basket, Flavors from Fire, Canada, India and Spain. Several new options will open later during the festival as well.
While not everything is about eating (who are we kidding, it is), there also are lots of events.
Emile’s Fromage Montage (the festival’s cheese crawl) is making its return as is Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak.
You also can rock and roll at Eat to the Beat. Some of those scheduled to appear include new additions to the stage like Orianthi, an Australian guitarist, singer and songwriter; and For King + Country, Joel and Luke Smallbone, a Nashville-based, Australian-born duo. Others include Tiffany, Ruben Studdard of “America’s Got Talent” fame, The Bacon Brothers (Kevin and Michael), Boyz II Men, Air Supply, Billy Ocean, Taylor Dayne and Sheila E., to name a few!
If you are planning to go, it’s a good idea to review the menus beforehand so you don’t go wandering aimlessly. Lines can be long so preparation and patience are key!
