First responders and healthcare workers deserve our appreciation.
And that’s true now more than ever as they fight on the frontlines of the pandemic.
That’s why the National Salute to America’s Heroes (NSAH) – presented by Hyundai and one of the country’s largest military air and sea shows – honored four Salute 365 initiative winners last month.
“The community-based nomination initiative was created to recognize and thank local healthcare professionals, first responders and others who are risking their own safety to care for members of the community,” according to a press release.
The First Responder Hero Winner is Aubrey Talton, 21, an EMT who hails from West Palm Beach and works in Lake Worth. He recently volunteered in New York to support local first responders as part of the FEMA task force, working grueling 12-hour shifts daily.
For his efforts, Hyundai gave Talton a 2020 Sonata.
“While we couldn’t hold the Air & Sea Show this year [which is part of the NSAH], we wanted to maintain our commitment to the NSAH and everything it does to support our true heroes,” says Angela Zepeda, chief marketing officer, HyundaiMotor America, in a press release.
