Death or Glory is known for its trendy libations, cool vibe and innovative culinary creations.
But the Delray Beach venue – a nearly 100-year-old house with plenty of spooky stories in residence – is the perfect spot for some Halloween fun.
So, we weren’t surprised when we heard about its Halloween pop-up bar, Death or Gory, running through Oct. 31. There, you can sip 13 (naturally) handcrafted cocktails inspired by the master of suspense, author Edgar Allan Poe.
Among the offerings: The Pit and the Pendulum, with sweet potato bourbon, Falernum syrup liqueur, Bittermens and Angostura bitters, and pumpkin seeds, and the Nevermore, with Angostura bitters, cucumber, Orgeat simple syrup, pineapple, lime, green pearl onion and violet Spirdust shimmer. Talk about creative.
Adding to the scene are plenty of ghoulish decorations and libations served in ghostly vessels, including a chemistry beaker, a skull cup and a specially designed pumpkin cauldron mug.
It all comes to a chilling end with a special party on Halloween at 7 p.m. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
