Miami Spice, the annual dining extravaganza,
kicks off August 1 and runs through September 30. It’s a chance for diners to get a taste of some of Miami’s most talented chefs at a great price.
Enjoy three-course meals at top eateries for just $28 for lunch/brunch and new this year, the option of $45 or $60 for dinner. Many offer the meals on certain days and at certain times, so be sure to inquire when you call to make a reservation. The event is hosted by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and is meant to encourage both visitors and locals to check out the area’s restaurant scene.
Created in 2001 by restaurateur Steven Haas (who also served on the GMCVB Board of Directors and is currently Executive Director for Centerplate at Miami Beach Convention Center), it originally featured 54 restaurants.
This year there’s 169 restaurants participating (and more signing up each day), so there are plenty of menus from which to choose.
