Tequila in a can? Yep, you read that right. Freshie™ Organic Tequila Seltzer launched two more flavors — grapefruit-guava and blood orange-habanero — just in time for National Tequila Day on July 24.
The new flavors join the original lime-flavored tequila seltzer launched in 2021. The idea for the company got its start in 2016, when founders Paige and Ryne Iseminger were in Mexico hanging out with family and friends. Ryne concocted a drink in the kitchen using tequila, limes, agave nectar and sparkling water and the rest, as they say, is history.
Freshie™ comes in four-packs or try them all in a new eight-can variety pack, with four lime, two grapefruit-guava and two blood orange-habanero. Each is made from organic blanco tequila, organic agave nectar, organic natural flavors and sparkling water. It is made in a solar-powered, zero-waste, zero-carbon, all-organic family-owned distillery in Jalisco, Mexico.
In 2022, Freshie™ earned a USDA-Certified Organic seal to become the world’s first organic tequila seltzer.
“We worked for two years to perfect these flavors,” say the founders. “There was a lot of trial and error to get them just right. The most important criteria were that, like the lime flavor, they had to reflect native flavors of Mexico and they had to be delicious. We think we landed on perfection.”
The company is a member of 1% for the Planet, donating profits each year to environmental-focused non-profit organizations.
