You don’t need to be a pirate to appreciate this festival.
The annual Miami Rum Renaissance Festival, where you can find hundreds of fine rums from the Caribbean as well as Central and South America, Europe and Asia, returns. Try something new or savor the flavor of a familiar blend.
On Nov. 11, Marriott Courtyard Coral Gables hosts one of the largest rum events in the U.S. It is followed by a Grand Tasting at the historic Coral Gables Woman’s Club on Nov. 12. This is the 14th year for this event. Hundreds of rum connoisseurs, collectors, judges and rum aficionados can mingle with and speak to producers, master distillers, importers, distributors and retailers.
For discriminating rum lovers there will be more than a hundred limited editions, vintages and prestigious luxury editions on hand.
“The category of rum continues to expand with an ever-growing variety of offerings, from every-day favorites and classics to the most amazing examples offered by the legendary masters of rum. We are truly experiencing an era that can only be described as the Renaissance of Rum,” says the festival producer, Robert Burr.
