SARAH McLACHLAN HEADLINES KRAVIS CENTER’S 30TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON GALA ON MARCH 1
Long-Standing Kravis Supporters Kathryn Vecellio, Monika Preston and Bill Bone Chair Benefit
(West Palm Beach, Fla.) – The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is celebrating 30 years of bringing legendary, award-winning artists to the stage with its upcoming Gala on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. During the 30th Anniversary celebration, guests will enjoy a performance by one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters in entertainment, Sarah McLachlan. Chairing the Gala are long-standing Kravis Center supporters Kathryn Vecellio, Monika Preston and Bill Bone. Honorary Chairs include, past Board Chairs Alexander W. Dreyfoos, William A. Meyer, Jane M. Mitchell, Michael J. Bracci and Jeffrey A. Stoops.
“The Kravis Center’s 30th Anniversary Gala is an opportunity to celebrate three decades of artistic excellence, comprehensive arts education programs and deep community engagement,” said Mrs. Vecellio. “It is also an opportunity to thank our loyal donors who have gifted consistently over the past 30 years. The Kravis Center continues to be a champion of the arts and education and we look forward to celebrating the 30th Anniversary Season with the local community and beyond.”
The black-tie benefit begins with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. in the Harris Pre-Function Hall in the Cohen Pavilion. The reception is followed by a 7 p.m. performance in Dreyfoos Hall from multi-Grammy award-winner and singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan.
McLachlan has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Over her career, she has received three Grammy Awards and twelve Juno Awards and has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Her songs “Angel,” “Building A Mystery,” “Fallen,” “I Will Remember You,” “Adia,” “Sweet Surrender,” “World On Fire,” “Possession,” and countless others are an inspiration to music lovers around the globe. McLachlan also founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians and raised over $7 million for local and national charities. She also founded The Sarah McLachlan Foundation which funds the non-profit Sarah McLachlan School of Music, providing high quality music education and mentorship free to children and youth facing barriers to access.

After the performance, Gala guests will make their way to the elegantly decorated Gimelstob Ballroom in the Cohen Pavilion. Dinner will be served with world-class service and decadent cuisine by Lessing's Hospitality Group, followed by an evening of dancing to live music by Marcia Mitchell Music.
“The Kravis Center is known for having an extraordinary three-course dinner for its Gala and this year is no exception,” said Mr. Bone. “Gala guests are in for a huge treat with dinner prepared by Guy Reuge, Executive Chef of Lessing’s Hospitality Group. Reuge was awarded La Toque d’Argent, one of the culinary world’s most prized possessions, as well as ‘Chef of the Year’ by the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (Society of Master Chefs). It’s a night you won’t want to miss!”
