7th Annual Care for Kids Luncheon

ChildNet to host the 7th Annual Care for Kids Palm Beach Luncheon on Tuesday, April 7th at the Woodfield Country Club.

• The Luncheon, which is sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and presented by Heidi Schaeffer, M.D. Charitable Trust is an opportunity for the Palm Beach County community to rally behind ChildNet, Palm Beach County’s Community-Based Care lead agency that protects abused, abandoned and neglected children in the community and foster care system.

• During the Luncheon, ChildNet will present Kathy Leone, Advocate for Foster Children and Paul Leone, CEO of The Breakers Palm Beach with the Champion for Children Award in recognition of their outstanding support of ChildNet and commitment to Palm Beach County’s children in foster care.

• Florida Power & Light (FPL) will also be honored with the Community Advocate Award for its ongoing efforts to advocate, educate and volunteer on behalf of the children ChildNet serves.

• The Luncheon will be emceed by Liz Quirantes, WPEC-TV CBS 12 Anchor.

• Funds raised at the Care for Kids Luncheon will directly fund enhanced services and support so desperately needed by the more than 1,600 foster children in Palm Beach County including specialized medical care, tutoring and enrichment activities like arts and sports programs that build resilience and foster success. This aid goes beyond basic necessities to help these children not only succeed, but thrive from the moment they enter the foster care system to the moment they leave it.
