Impact the Palm Beaches will host the 7th Annual Impact Awards Celebration Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach. This special event will award over $200,000 in high-impact grants to non-profit organizations in Palm Beach County. This exciting evening is where finalists present their request for funding to Impact the Palm Beaches members, a vote is taken, and the awards are distributed.
Members and guests of the evening will enjoy cocktails and light bites while mingling with the finalists before the presentations begin. The emcee of the event will be Keli Ferguson, ESPN sports anchor on WPTV 5 and radio host.
The finalists competing for these $100,000 game-changing grants will be announced in early March. Impact the Palm Beaches has awarded $886,000 in grants in the past six years and will have awarded over $1 million by the end of this season.
Impact the Palm Beaches is a philanthropic organization where women collectively give to nonprofits in Central and Northern Palm Beach County to ignite transformational change. Impact members each contribute $1,000 annually and award $100,000 grants to local non-profit organizations.
“Our members share the commitment to invest in innovative projects in our community,” said Elizabeth Truong, 2021-2022 President, Impact the Palm Beaches. “We are excited that we currently have over 215 members this season and continue to grow!”
Lauren Sterlacci, 2021-2022 Vice President of Impact the Palm Beaches notes “The collaborative structure of this type of philanthropy really empowers women to create waves of positive change. Impact grants fund the following service areas: Arts & Culture; Education; Environment and Animal Welfare; Health & Wellness; and Family. Impact the Palm Beaches $100,000 Impact Grant Awardees have included: Center for Trauma Counseling, Center for Child Counseling, Project LIFT, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Clinics Can Help, and West Jupiter Community Group.
