2 DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP

Monologue & Cold Read coaching by an experienced director and teacher. Practice with an audience of your peers. Breaking it down into beats; finding and expressing the subtext and improvising to find the right gesture that expresses the character in those 90 seconds they give you. Direction and advice on monologue selection. ALSO learn the tactics of attacking the ever-daunting “Cold Read.” PLUS: What a Director Looks For. Techniques and info you may not learn elsewhere. Have a 90 sec monologue ready, maybe even two. Second day includes intro to Shakespeare. Brown-bag it, because we do a half-hour lunch. Limit: 12
