This lovely event raises funds to support AVDA’s critical and life-saving programs, including the emergency shelter and transitional housing at Casa Vegso, the 24- hour crisis hotline, outreach, and legal advocacy as well as the training and violence prevention education programs.

This year's speaker will be Lovern J. Gordon, the founder and President of Love Life Now Foundation, Inc. (LLN) which promotes year-round awareness against domestic violence (DV) and helps to bridge the gap between shelters and the communities they serve. Lovern is a child witness and adult survivor of a 2-year abusive relationship. She shares her personal story publicly, believing that the more we all talk about this issue publicly, the better a victim’s chance is of seeking help.
