Boca Ballet Theatre Presents College Dance Fair

Created for high school dance students and their parents to network and navigate the college dance world over the course of one weekend, August 30, 31 and September 1, 2019. The College Dance Fair features master classes and informational sessions with renowned faculty from the country's top dance programs. These session topics will include admission requirements, audition advice and information on the type of dance programs available, and the structure of each school’s programs. Boca Ballet Theatre and Só Dança are pleased to offer a solution that is cost and time-efficient, and that opens the door to a vast array of resources and experience. The Colleges for 2019: The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, New World School of the Arts, The Ailey School, Florida State University - School of Dance, Indiana University - Jacobs School of Music, University of Utah – Department of Ballet, Meadows School of the Arts - Southern Methodist University, Butler University, NYU-TISCH.The College Dance Fair is extremely helpful in exposing students to schools that may not have been previously considered. Taking master classes with the faculty from national universities helps students get a glimpse of the different styles of teaching to see what is compatible. Students received information about their programs, the degrees that are offered, the summer intensives, and the success rates of their graduates. The College Dance Fair is a wonderful tool in so many ways - and it’s right in our own back yard, Boca Raton! Together Só Dança and Boca Ballet Theatre have been committed to present the College Dance Fair for the past eight years.Register now to secure your spot! Registration is $149 before August 1st or $199 after August 1st, and includes a boxed lunch for the students on Saturday and Sunday, up to three master classes a day, and informational sessions.
