What lies in your subconscious as a writer and wants to be discovered? It’s time to find out in this 3-hour workshop. By quieting the mind and entering an hour of silence, you can find your “creative self.” The following format has been tried and tested by the instructor at Palm Beach State College and an NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English) Conference.
First Hour – The Breath. Exercises to relax the body and slow the breath. Meditation with a special visualization. Second Hour – Silence. Freewriting or stream of consciousness writing. Summary paragraph on the results. Third Hour – Sharing. Read aloud your “creative self” discovery (not mandatory). Short discussion by participants.
