1/2 DAY WORKSHOP
In this workshop the instructor will take attendees into the complex world of character development in the novel and short story. Formidably crafted, engaging, believable and multi-layered characters are the hallmark of every great work of fiction. In the short story and novel, it is the characters, particularly well-crafted protagonists, that will engage the reader and hold his/her attention. The attendees will learn how to develop such characters in their works. By means of an open forum the instructor will discuss and explain the literary machinery behind character development. Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their works with the class and get valuable feedback from the instructor and fellow classmates.
