GREENMARKET
Saturdays, 9am – 1pm FREE | (GreenMarket is held every Saturday now through April 18, 2020, except for March 28 due to the Palm Beach International Boat Show)
West Palm Beach Waterfront, 100 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
It’s thyme to celebrate! The West Palm Beach GreenMarket, the premier Saturday spot to gather fresh food and local goods, is currently in its 25th season. One of the largest markets in the region, the dog friendly GreenMarket features a variety of products including fresh produce, exotic plants and flowers, herbs and spices, baked goods, gourmet and specialty foods, coffee, teas and much more. This event also features live music, unlimited mimosas for $10, free activities for kids, ample green space and plenty of seating for a fun and relaxing morning. This Saturday morning ritual in downtown West Palm Beach is the place to see and be seen!
Free parking is available in the Evernia/Olive garage during market hours. There is a $5 flat fee in the Banyan/Olive garage before 1pm. Those interested in arriving by boat can also take advantage of the City's free public docks. Patrons are also encouraged to arrive the sustainable way – on the City’s free and fun trolley. This popular transport system cuts down on CO2 emissions by eliminating car trips and has several routes with stops near the GreenMarket. In addition, cyclists can utilize the complimentary Downtown bicycle valet located next to Rocco’s Tacos on the 200 block of Clematis Street. The valet, sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority, will be open during GreenMarket hours.
Special dates during April include:
· April 18 FINAL GreenMarket of the 2019 – 2020 Season, Earth Day Celebration
As part of the end-of-season send off, the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability will bring back its “Make Like a Tree and Leave” promotion, where West Palm Beach residents and businesses can pick up a free tree from the Sustainability booth (*while supplies last).
· April 18, “By the Banyan” Historical Walking Tour (10am-11:30am)
This guided tour is led by Rick Gonzalez, a local architect and historian, and will highlight the evolution of buildings and landmarks throughout downtown West Palm Beach.
Tours begin at the banyan tree on the east end of Clematis Street (101 N. Clematis St.) and end at the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum (300 N. Dixie Hwy).
