International Neuropsychologists and Psychologists To Convene at Albizu University in Miami on May 26, 2022
Albizu University and Sociedad Interamericana de Psicología (Interamerican Society of Psychology or the SIP) will welcome international neuropsychologists, psychologists, and mental health professionals to the Albizu Miami campus in Doral, Florida for the First Annual Excellence in Psychology Conference on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Participants will have the option of attending either virtually or in-person. The event is free and open to the public.

With a focus on neuropsychology and addiction training, the SIP Conference is designed to promote scientific exchange, facilitate collaboration, and encourage the sharing of research among professionals from North, South, Central America and the Caribbean.
Former American Psychological Association (APA) President and Cuban-born Antonio E. Puente, Ph.D. will be among the featured speakers who include APA International Affairs officials and Albizu University neuropsychology and psychology professors.
In his scheduled talk entitled “The Latinization of Clinical Neuropsychology,” Dr. Puente will present his own research on how psychology and neuropsychology are taught in the United States. He will also discuss how biological, psychological and social factors impact health care across the Americas.
The Conference will include a question-and-answer session, along with a workshop to help attending students identify professional membership organizations that could enrich their respective academic experiences.
Albizu University, which is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists, maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The SIP conference provides two hours of continuing education at no cost to psychologists.
The event is co-chaired by representatives from both the SIP and Albizu University.
