The Paul Anka Songbook Tribute Show Starring Lou Villano

Lou grew up in Brooklyn singing the songs of some of the most popular singers from the 50’s & 60’s – Paul Anka was one of his favorites. While arranging his shows he remembered how many of his audiences commented that his resemblance and vocal styling is very similar to Paul Anka. They asked, “Why don’t you do more songs by Paul Anka”? Thus a show was born and as critic Jay Shapiro recently wrote after seeing Lou’s show: “Lou Villano puts on one hell of a show. Probably the BEST Paul Anka Tribute in the United States.” Well it’s the only true Paul Anka Tribute show around.

No matter where Lou Villano performs this ONE-OF-A-KIND show, he receives Rave Reviews and Standing Ovations throughout the show. "TIMES OF YOUR LIFE - The Paul Anka Songbook is a unique and exciting show that is just like seeing Paul Anka in person. Along with his talented musician's - The Destiny Band - Lou Villano becomes Paul Anka and recreates Paul's actual Live performance with arrangements like Diana, Lonely Boy, You Are My Destiny, Puppy Love, My Way, and more.

With video presentations when performing Paul's hit song that he wrote for the movie & stared in “The Longest Day”, stories of how he met Frank Sinatra, why he wrote Sammy Davis’ I’m Not Anyone, and when he wrote It Doesn’t Matter Anymore for Buddy Holly. Parts of the show are devoted to Paul’s mentor and dear friend Frank Sinatra with arrangements that were given to Anka by Sinatra as well as some that he performs His Way – My Way.

Lou has been a staple in the entertainment community since arriving from New York in 2005 and has established himself as one of the most respected entertainers here in Florida. A powerful voice, great stage presence and true professionalism he has received praise from songstress Julie Budd saying, "You are a fabulous singer … a major talent". Working with comedian Wendy Liebman at the Villages she wrote: "It was great to work with you Lou. Your show was fabulous and you're such a great performer."

On May 18th, 2014 at a show in Fort Lauderdale at the Park Playhouse Theater, with over 1100 people in the audience, Lou was named 2014 Tri-Rail Idol of South Florida out of 12 finalists!! At the Sunburst Convention – a showcase for tribute artists and impersonators - held in Orlando in August of 2018 Lou was given the "2018 AGENTS BEST IMPRESSED AWARD" for his Paul Anka showcase performance.

You may have seen Lou perform at many of the outdoor festivals throughout the years from Jupiter to Port St. Lucie, performances as guest artist with the Sugar Pops & Hallandale Symphony Orchestras, as well many of the big theater communities.
