United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention’s Pompano Beach Town Hall Meeting entitled “Family Communication and Wellness: Let’s Talk About the Pressures Facing Today’s Youth - Vaping, Alcohol, Cyberbullying, Social Media, Academic Stress, Anxiety & Depression”
· United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, the City of Pompano Beach, Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, the School Board of Broward County and the Florida Department of Children and Families have joined together to host the Pompano Beach Town Hall Meeting.
·A panel of experts and community members will discuss the topic of family communication and wellness and will discuss the pressures teens face today when in regard to the topics of vaping, alcohol, cyberbullying, social media, academic stress, anxiety and depression.
·There will be special presentations by the Theatre of Creative Consciousness of the Arts and the Florida Children’s Theater.
· This event is free and open to the public including students, teachers, parents, grandparents and the rest of the community. It will be presented in English, Spanish, Creole and Portuguese.
· Guests are encouraged to attend early so they can enjoy food, community resource vendors, raffles and prizes.
