Wasting (Mother) Earth
The University Galleries, FAU will present a public lecture and panel discussion in association with its “Surplus Reiterations” exhibition. The program presents keynote speaker Dr. Jane Caputi who will frame the conversation by introducing topics from her most recent book, Call Your Mutha: A Deliberately Dirty-Minded Manifesto for the Earth Mother in the Anthropocene. The lecture will be followed by brief responses and a Q&A session from three expert environmental professionals: Nicole Chochrek, Dr. Stefan E Harzen, and Serena Hoermann.
Following the discussion will be a performance by Letty Bassart and fellow dance artists in the Schmidt Center Gallery Public Space.
